Who am I?

MGR. LUCIA MERICOVÁ

In 2021, I graduated from the Faculty of Arts of Comenius University in Psychology. During my studies, I worked with children, completed several internships in elementary schools, and worked as a teaching assistant. In this position, I worked primarily with children with autism spectrum disorders, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), and children with learning disabilities, both during class and individually.

After graduating from university, I entered the education sector, where I have been working for six years now. Initially, I worked as a school psychologist at a state school in Staré Mesto. My work was mainly focused on working with children with autism spectrum disorders, ADHD, learning disabilities, children from socially disadvantaged backgrounds, as well as children who found themselves in difficult situations at home or at school.

I currently work at a private school in Vrakun, where my scope of work has expanded, as I provide psychological counseling not only for elementary school, but also for kindergarten and high school. Therefore, I work with children and adolescents aged 4 to 18. Most often, I encounter anxiety and depressive symptoms, attention disorders, as well as problems in the family environment or in the classroom. In addition, I also engage in orientation diagnostics.

I am convinced that continuous education is essential for maintaining expertise and personal growth in any field. That is why I have been a participant in long-term psychotherapy training at the Gestalt Studio in the Czech Republic since 2025. I am also a trainee at the Institute of Play Therapy and work under professional supervision.

In my free time, I study healthy living, read books, and help animals.
